She and her husband, Dr. Scott Rocklage, recently made a generous gift to Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016 to help them renovate their nanochemistry and nanotechnology laboratory. Her husband really wanted to give back to the school because he believes MIT helped to lay the foundation for his professional life.
He received his PhD in 1982 under the instruction of chemistry Nobel Prize winner, Professor Richard R. Schrock. Due to their generous donation, Massachusettes Institute of Technology has displayed a plaque within their new labs to honor the Rocklages and thank them for their contribution.
